Hard work.. Old school?

Many of us have a dream. A dream of doing something big for the world, or for our country, or for our family. Most of us, when on the path to achieving the dream question ourselves a lot of time — Am I really going to achieve the dream? Is it really possible for me? — and most of the time we end up quitting, at least for a couple of weeks if not leaving to never return.

Well, every podcast, every video, every book, that is based on achieving success has some part of it, if not all, dedicated to hard work. Everyone says hard work is the key to achieving greatness. We even read, listen or watch blogs, podcasts, and videos, about success that hard work rewarded. And there we are, the unique bunch who seem to be doing a lot of hard work, but not being able to leave a footprint behind. We seem to be working but not progressing.

Well, before we go on to blame “Hard work” or those speakers, and those writers, there is one question that came to my mind yesterday. This question will answer our every question, we may not want to accept the facts but if we answer the question with all honesty, then we will realize why we have not been able to move forward even though we are working so hard to.

“If Bill Gates or Warren Buffet would ask me about my daily routine, would I hesitate to answer or am I fully confident that I am doing all I can to move towards my dream, and by fully confident I mean giving my one hundred percent to every potential step that leads to the dream?”

Well, where do you stand?
