Change

Do you long for change? Does the change you long better you or worsen you? Have you ever wondered why changing for the worse is easier?

Everyone wants change. But, is the change worth it ? Is it what you really long for? Is it really good for you?

Have you ever noticed that achieving something you long for is difficult but achieving something without longing for it is easier? For Instance, you want to have a fit body and thus you work hard. You look at your body every single day, hoping for change. Sometimes you really see the change. Other times, you will find that not a single fiber of your body changed. This “no change” affects you passively, you will not even know its there. But, its there, hiding in the depths of your mind, eating away your progress. Now, for a change you decide not to give a damn about the change. After a few weeks, you see progress, progress you have never seen before. How did it happen? Is it even possible? Yes it is possible, while your conscious self was not giving a damn, your unconscious self was trying. Why is this try different? The difference is that your conscious self does not hamper your unconscious self’s endeavor.

Looking at the mirror everyday and seeing no change puts your unconscious self in such a position that the unconscious you will be pulling the conscious you down, away from the gate to success.

Don’t believe it?

Think about this. Why do some students obtain high scores without even trying half as much as you did? You put the effort but they get the result. It isn’t fair, is it? Ever wondered why?

When you set a goal, lets say 95+ in maths, you tend to think that it is difficult. We mark it as difficult assuming that if it was easy, every one would have scored a 95+. This hypothesis is not wrong. Obtaining a 95+score is difficult. But, the thing is that there is something more difficult than obtaining a 95+score that keeps you from getting a 95+ score. I am not talking about a 95+ in science or something like that. I am talking about the prison, where the unconscious you holds the conscious you in. When you set a goal, the unconscious you labels the goal as “ difficult” , “impossible”. This creates a prison. A personal prison that holds the conscious you and keeps you from reaching your goal. Thus, while you are locked up, the guys who have understood this score the 95+ you deserve.

What keeps you from achieving something is not the difficulty of the achievement but the failure to control your unconscious self.
